Vision of a Collector: The Lessing J. Rosenwald Collection in the Library of Congress. Published by The Rare Book and Special Collections Division of the Library of Congress, 1991. 466 pages, 7.75 x 10.75 inches. Designed by W. Thomas Taylor, and printed by Bradley Hutchinson who also cast the Bembo types. The offset plates were printed by the Stinehour Press in Lunenburg, Vermont.

Perhaps the most ambitious of the books printed at W. Thomas Taylor – certainly one of the most exhausting. 100 essays by 100 scholars with 100 plates illustrating the 100 finest books in the Rosenwald Collection. The composition of the Bembo type required the welcome assistance of Patrick Reagh Printers in Los Angeles to cast the footnotes. A minor crisis ensued when it was discovered, before bindery thankfully, that the pressman had printed a line of Tagalog upside down. Error corrected, 1000 copies were then bound in full Japanese cloth and 300 in quarter leather with paste paper sides by Craig Jensen at BookLab in Austin, Texas.
