On October 28, 2015, The University of Texas at Austin marked the acquisition of the Gabriel García Márquez archive with a symposium to celebrate the opening of the archive to research. Salman Rushdie delivered the keynote address, the text of which was published by the Harry Ransom Center in this edition designed by Gabo's son Gonzalo García Barcha, an artist and typographer who designed the Enrico typeface used here which was based on the types of Enrico Martínez, a printer active in 16th century Mexico City.
